Franklin Fiction Writing Map
The parallels between my writing career and Sir John Franklin's expedition to discover the Northwest passage are uncanny.

You can read all about the Sir John Franklin unpublished metaphor and other unpublished relics that reconstruct a personalized account of fiction publishing disaster—a shot glass of denial, Humpty Dumpty's Unpublished Day cravat, and a cozy shack (not the rice pudding).

I'm watching Soylent Green and feeling hungry

I am still rather hungry, even after eating a fair-sized helping of spaghetti with sauce and breakfast sausage. I had a bowl of blue berry flavored Special K this morning with fat-free milk. Sometimes, I call it skim milk. As usual, I missed lunch. I don't often eat lunch, but I had bought some tins of sardines and smoked oysters. My daughter, who has food issues, threw out the oysters and drank the oil. Too spicy, she said.

I keep forgetting to bring the tins to work for lunch, so I end up not eating, although I'm not all that hungry at that time of day, anyway. Lately, I've been getting quite hungry at night. I will start munching on chips, Fig Newtons, slices of pie, cookies, and crackers (I'm partial to Wheat Thins and Triscuits or the grocer's private label version of those crackers. I'd rather spend less for an off-brand, and the crackers taste just as good.) I don't think you are supposed to eat that much food right before you go to bed. I suppose that would explain my recent weight gain.

Sometimes, I'll eat fruit. I like mangos, clementines, persimmons, and nectarines. Persimmons can be quite tasty, like a candied yam, or tasteless. No persimmons today, but there is nectarine left in the fridge. It is quite soft and juicy. If it were rotten, I'm not sure I could tell.
