" I clicked on an advert on Facebook and came to your site. And proceeded to read through your entries like the creeper I sometimes am. I think you should just publish your blog entries. You know how "the Princess Diaries" got adapted for a movie. Yours would be so much better. (And sorry to compare you to such a worthless book.) Anyways, just a thought. " Read more

"Your Muse is clearly feeling passive-aggressive (what self-respecting Muse wouldn't, when forced to regurgitate Marketing copy for an enterprise software brochure?) - it's throwing things (like Spanish dictionaries) at you, hoping you'll notice and stop neglecting it or feeding it menudo. If you thought throwing it in the washer was a bad move, you really ought to read "Eradicating Edna," my unfinished NaNoNovel over on Scribd. Now THAT's Muse abuse!" Read more

"No, I meant THIS BLOG is interesting. (In my previous comment I should have put a full stop after "hunter" and capitalised the "i" in "interesting".) I may be a shameless self-promoter but I would never preempt the opinion or judgement of my readers -- both of them! Nor ever presume to instruct or dictate what people ought to think or feel. Fiction Book Proposal Promotional Plan
Must Reach Jerry O' Connell/Ambrose Bierce Demographic

In the increasingly fragmented world of literature, a book of fiction such as mine must take a niche approach to marketing. It lacks mass appeal. I have decided a good target market would be those people that both enjoy the witty satire and 19th century literary works of Ambrose Bierce, as well as movies like Kangaroo Jack and TV shows like Crossing Jordon. I have located this person.

Mrs Butterworth's Book Marketing Mafia

Dear—you don't mind if I call you dear do you? Whether you are following William Blake, the self publisher, or Dr. Zaius, publishing fundamentalist, you will want to promote your fiction. If you are self-publishing or subsidy publishing, you will quickly find yourself in street fight brawl. Oh my, you will need to bust knees with a pipe and deliver a proper beat-down with a heavy chain, to get noticed. No one else is going to help you when you are lying in the street in a pool of your own blood, because you came ill-equipped with the marketing tools necessary to survive in the world of self-publishing.
